There is so much buzz and hype about Social Networking
and/or Social Media Marketing and these are what everyone wants to know about
nowadays. It’s really the next big affair and this is the marketing in 21st
century. Let me share with you what I
personally feel about Social Media Marketing. Social Media Marketing is the
process of advertising your website or online business through social media
channels and it’s the key of furthering brand/client communication.
One of the most straightforward ways to build links is by submitting your site to directories. We all know the big directories such as DMOZ, Yahoo, or Best of the Web, and you should submit to these sites. But you should also consider submitting to various small or niche free or paid directories.
Free directories are a no-brainer, except for those that require a link back in order for you to be listed. I recommend avoiding these directories altogether. Search engines will not penalize you based on who links to you, but if you link from your site to a known spammer or so-called bad neighborhood your placement in the SERPs (search engine result pages) could suffer. Most of these “link back” directories exist only to gain link weight for themselves and are not worth your time.
For a lot of people the thought of doing podcasts is a daunting thought but the truth is, it doesn’t have to be as we will see today.
So What is Podcasting as it Relates to Internet Marketing?
Podcasting is a fancy word that simply means publishing audio and/or video over the Internet. And more recently, now you can syndicate these audio or video files via RSS feeds, just like you can with text.
The advent of the internet has made communication so much simpler than it would have been without it. It is easier to get the message out on your products, services or company. The speed of information that the internet provides is simply astonishing. Because of the ease of use of the internet, the average individual has an email address enabling him to contact anyone across the globe with just a few keyboard punches. The marketing sector has cashed in on this unique opportunity and is using email marketing to get the message out about their products, services and company.
What is the most potent form of Internet marketing?
In answer to this question, every marketer is likely to have his or her own opinion but the most potent form of marketing (the big linchpin) could very well be a process that existed before the advent of search engines, pay-per-click strategies and coined Internet marketing phrases like “lead generation.”
It’s name?
Education.
Why Education and Internet Marketing?
When you decide to market your products or services by educating your audience, you instinctively recognize that people like to know.
Is it too good to be true?
It is the most common question when the people see the “big fat cheque” made by the web publishers.
“How can I imagine that I could make money by building such website?”
This is my mom’s response under my expectation. Indeed, many people overlook the power of information technology. Before the internet age, people were still looking for information by other ways like newspaper, TV programs, mouths, radio..
Until now, people can almost access everything by internet. The process is the same. People love to access information. The difference is…the speed is much faster today.
Many people who start off in affiliate marketing pick a product they feel is good, but get frustrated that it doesn’t sell. There are four common reasons why the product doesn’t sell well for them.
1. Trying to sell instead of presell. Online marketing is about building relationships. If you don’t have a relationship built with your list, they’re not gonna buy anything from you!
Don’t think in terms of sell, think in terms of presell.
What are you going to do to develop your relationship with your list? The best way is always to give them the best advice available to them. This can come in the form of special reports, articles, and e-books.
There is no such thing as 100% response to email marketing – even if you were giving your merchandise away (with free shipping).
You have to understand that not even your most loyal customers are going to fully review every email-marketing item you send.
Those that do read the email from your business may not be at a place where they need your product or service at the tie you send it.
So what is the point in continuing to send email marketing items if there is only a relatively small chance of response?
We keep hearing the over used term “the money is in the list”. This is becoming like the old saying “the cheque is in the mail”. There are 2 common factors in the afore mentioned expressions, the money and the mailing list, but that is where the similarities end. We must acknowledge that the surest way to make sales and money is by selling to your mailing list. Thus, the most precious asset in your arsenal is – your list.
When looking to start or grow an existing Internet business or even offline business there is one fact you cannot get away from. That simple fact is without traffic your business is going nowhere. This simple truth is universal to all Internet businesses and is tantamount to building a Wal-Mart on the moon it could be the biggest and best-stocked store ever but if no one can get there it is dead before it starts.
