It is really a great feeling to get in touch with these special people, simply because they matter to you a lot. This is also the same concept behind list building; one of the most commonly used marketing techniques nowadays.

For online businesses, web site owners also somewhat developed a lasting relationship with their loyal customers. Because of this, they were given permission by these clients to send them out updates in a form of a newsletter or article via email, just to get an overview about the latest products or services being offered or any relevant information like tips or basic techniques that they can surely make use of. However, it is also a good thing to note that the people on your mailing list should respond positively on what you have sent them. Since this also about building relationships, here are some tips that you may consider.

  1. Write like an expert but with a friendly tone. Give your loyal customers useful information and at the same time, use friendly and easy to understand language.
  2. Develop a proper mindset. List building is not always about selling products, but building relationships. Make them feel important than any other thing in this world.
  3. Find out what your subscribers’ needs and wants. Ask for feedback and make a room for “question and answer” type of discussions to know the things that matter to them.
  4. Offer discounts, bargains and freebies once in a while. Always remember that these are your loyal customers and giving some extra benefits is something that they truly deserve.
