When I first started marketing online I would always promote the company website with the affiliate link they supplied. This is also often called a replicated site.
I thought I was doing the right thing, in fact my sponsor had been doing likewise and he told me that since he was told the same thing, that it was just fine to be promoting the company website. But then I realized if the sales letter did not convert them to customers on that first visit, I was out of luck (and advertising dollars.)
